The UK’s best beaches revealed from TripAdvisor reviews
The UK’s ten best beaches have been revealed based on review scores given by visitors. The annual TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Beaches awards are put together dependent on the quality and quantity of website reviews.

Bournemouth Beach was number one for the second year running, followed by Luskentyre on the Isle of Harris. St Bredlade’s flies the flag for Jersey at number three whilst Woolacombe in Devon and Barafundle in Pembrokeshire (right) are at four and five respectively. Barafundle could only manage tenth last year.
In 2017, Rhossili Beach on the Gower in Wales was crowned the best in Europe by Suitcase Magazine – it’s at number seven in this chart – slipping from number three last year.
Brighton and Weymouth have dropped out of the Top 10 this year as has Fistral near Newquay, one of Cornwall’s top surfing locations.
Details of all the beaches and their water quality can be found on the Near You section of the MCS website which features the Good Beach Guide.
